What you’ll be doing
* As a Commis Chef you will be responsible for planning, preparation, cooking and presentation of food to the standard required by the Company and the Client.
* Be responsible for stock control, waste control and ensuring hygiene and H&S requirements are met to the highest standards.
* Work closely with the on-site leadership team.
* Help prepare and cook a wide range of dishes, ensuring menus are followed and wastage is minimised.
* Set up and check counters; ensure all equipment is on and working.
* Prepare breakfast and lunches as required; cook food to order as needed.
* Assist in serving customers, both on counter and at till.
* Ensure vending machines are stocked by the end of the day for the evening/night shift.
* Check food for taste, appearance and quality before serving; ensure proper portion controls.
* Assist with shopping; label and date all foods; store correctly.
* Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of kitchen and service areas at all times.
* Help with paperwork to record wastage and temperature records.
