Job Title: Building SurveyorType: PermanentLocation: WorcestershireSalary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week BRC are working closely with a well-established Housing Association based in Worcestershire to recruit an experienced Building Surveyor to join their property services team. This role involves managing a varied portfolio of housing stock, ensuring properties are safe, compliant, and well maintained, while delivering high-quality surveying and contract management services.Duties:
* Carry out building surveys, inspections, and condition reports across residential properties
* Manage day-to-day repairs, planned maintenance, and minor works projects
* Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation
* Oversee contractors on site, monitoring performance, quality, and compliance
* Ensure all works meet current legislation, health & safety, and housing standards
* Diagnose building defects and recommend appropriate remedial actions
* Manage budgets and ensure value for money is achieved
* Liaise with residents, internal teams, and external stakeholders
Requirements:
* Proven experience working as a Building Surveyor, ideally within social housing or local authority
* Relevant qualification in Building Surveying or Construction (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
* Strong knowledge of building regulations, health & safety, and housing legislation
* Experience managing contractors and building works on site
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
