About the role
We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Graphic Design Manager to lead and inspire our design team. The Graphic Design Manager is essential in driving the creative direction of our projects, ensuring high-quality designs across all channels, including digital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design, a passion for creativity, and excellent leadership skills to help direct the team.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Creative Direction & Strategy: Lead the development and execution of creative concepts for a wide variety of design projects, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and marketing strategies.
2. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of graphic designers, fostering a collaborative, creative, and results-driven environment.
3. Design Oversight: Oversee the design process from concept to final execution across multiple marketing channels, including print and digital.
4. Brand Consistency: Maintain and evolve the visual identity of the brand, ensuring all design work adheres to established standards and effectively communicates the intended message.
5. Innovation: Encourage and implement innovative designs to keep the company's visual presence fresh and competitive. Stay updated with design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
6. Digital Asset Production: Lead the creation and optimization of digital assets, including online promotional content, ensuring alignment with marketing strategies and brand guidelines.
7. Project Management: Oversee multiple design projects, managing priorities and timelines to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
8. Creative Brief Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand design requirements, develop clear briefs, and ensure deliverables meet expectations.
9. Stakeholder Interaction: Present and explain design concepts to internal teams and stakeholders, gather feedback, and make revisions as needed.
About you
* Proven experience (5+ years) in Graphic Design with a strong portfolio demonstrating creativity.
* Previous leadership or managerial experience.
* Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and knowledge of other design platforms (Figma or alternatives).
* Experience with AI-driven tools that enhance design workflows.
* Proficiency in producing digital assets, including display ads, banners, and social media content, with a strong understanding of the digital landscape.
* Strong understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* A passion for design, with a keen eye for detail and quality.
* Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
