Job Description
Our client, a leader within their field based in Sutton Coldfield, is currently recruiting for an Employee Relations Advisor on 12-month fixed-term contract.
The annual salary ranges from £35,000- £40,000 and the position is due to as soon as possible, offers up to 3 days working from home, and great benefits.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, able to take a logical approach to managing priorities, and have strong experience dealing with a heavy ER caseload.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Working collaboratively with the ER team, dealing with and monitoring ER matters as they come through on a case tracking system, approx. 30 open cases at any time
* Supporting the business through a period of transformation, dealing with any ER issues that arise throughout redeployment, restructuring, redundancy consultations and mergers
* Providing advice and administration support for performance and probation review processes, ensuring appropriate follow up actions taken to address poor performers and to deliver colleague development plans
* Acting as the first point of contact for supporting and advising line managers when dealing with employee relations issues, advising on process, legislation and potential areas of risk
* Coaching line managers and team leaders with people development skills, with a focus on effective ER processes and conversations
* Supporting the delivery of people management training, working closely with the wider team to implement new training interventions and refine existing training based on participant feedback
* Building strong, collaborative relationships with the wider People team to develop a consistent approach to talent management
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
* CIPD or an equivalent level of subject matter expertise gained through experience
* Demonstrates comprehensive generalist HR knowledge
* Can produce written material to a high standard e.g. reports, contracts of employment, policies and procedures
* Highly organised and logical approach to managing priorities
* Able to deal with a heavy workload with conflicting priorities whilst maintaining accuracy and achieving deadlines
* Skilled in engaging a diverse range of stakeholders, to build relationships that are based on trust, to work collaboratively and to resolve issues, both internally and externally

* Monday – Friday, 8:45am-5.00pm
