What You'll Be Doing:
As a Hardware Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in guiding a talented electronics design team. Your responsibilities will include:
* Managerial and Technical Leadership: Inspire and lead our engineering team through the full product development lifecycle.
* Work Package Management: Oversee cost, schedule, risks, and opportunities to ensure project success.
* Production Support: Ensure the engineering team meets production program demands effectively.
* Technical Governance: Uphold company processes and standards while providing expert guidance.
* Cost and Performance Trade-offs: Lead discussions to optimize project outcomes.
* Control Account Management (CAM): Manage project accounts to ensure financial health.
Your Skills and Experiences:
Essential:
* Demonstrated high performance in leading engineering teams through product development.
* Proven experience with cost and planning management tools, optimizing solutions, and minimizing dependencies.
* Expertise in improving working practices and team skill development, focusing on failure reduction.
* Knowledge of supporting production programs effectively.
Desirable:
* Experience with PLD/FPGA design.
* Familiarity with requirements management tools like DOORS.
* Experience with work-package management tools such as MSP and JIRA.
