Project Manager £292.54 - £400 per day Morson are currently recruiting for a Service Delivery Manager to support one of our clients providing sonar services to international navies. The support services provides both a UK and in country support infrastructure built around project leadership, technical services, obsolescence management and technical services. We are looking for either a service delivery manager or hands on project manager experienced within an engineering environment managing escalations and engagement. This role is being offered on an initial 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension. Based within an growing business area, there will also be opportunities of other contract and permanent roles in the future. Based in Templecombe, this is a hybrid role with an expectation of 3 days in the office. We can offer the role at a rate of £292.94 per day PAYE or £400 per day Umbrella. Key Responsibilities Responsible for delivering on time, cost and quality Achieve successful service delivery - SLA achievement and high levels of customer satisfaction Define the Service or Support solution in accordance with customer requirements. Prepare price and proposal documentation and ensure support and services are fully represented during the bid and proposal phase Lead the planning process - prioritising work against the capacity and capability of the team. This is to be completed in accordance with the Thales Integrated Business Planning process Have a good understanding of the Integrated Logistic Support function in order to ensure that all customer feedback is used to optimise all product articles and services Monitor overall performance of services, identifying areas for service expansion or product enhancement Ensure operations teams are aware of changes and are prepared Present and report the Project progress and activities at all levels within the business and Customer arenas. Build service reports, conduct Service reporting and sponsor service delivery meetings Pull in additional resources when needed e.g. specialist teams or people for specific issues / opportunities Work with the client and operations teams to identify and manage service improvement activities Responsible for adopting an account management approach by working with the customer to identify growth opportunities for the business Responsible for ensuring that any CSS Programme problems are identified Essential Requirements This role requires a high level of commercial awareness, change control, stakeholder relationship management, strong business acumen and process governance. Client account management is also key to ensure that customer issues are pre-empted, and solutions are offered that add value Experience as a Project/Product/Service Delivery Manager within an engineering environment In depth understanding of Project management principles and ideally APMP qualifications Experienced in using PM tools to track and drive progress including Oracle and Primavera Strong business finance knowledge including being able to understand detailed project finance reports Make clear, pragmatic and manageable plans for service / programme delivery using programme and project management disciplines Establish how the business area compares to customer service expectations and industry best practice and identify necessary improvements in plans Review, challenge and adjust performance levels to ensure quality outcomes are delivered on time Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people at all levels Broad commercial and financial awareness Able to operate effectively under project constraints and pressure and able to display sound judgement at all times Desired Requirements Prior Experience of a Project/Product/Delivery Manager role within the Aerospace, Defence or Marine sectors Degree level qualification or equivalent qualification/experience in a technical or business subject Experience of working with defence organisations or military customers Experience of working across international borders Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance
