Stores Administrator
Salary – Competitive Salary
Hours – 40 hours per week, 08:00am to 16:30pm
Location – Lostock EfW, CW9 7ZR
As a Stores Administrator at FCC Environment, you will provide vital administrative and operational support to our site maintenance team. You will be responsible for the safe and compliant operation of the stores and the purchasing of goods and services on behalf of the site teams, working closely with the central procurement team.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week, however, we will consider requests for job shares to suit your lifestyle (working full days).

What will you be doing?
•Placing orders for site consumables and equipment
•Ensuring cost efficiency and obtaining the best prices
•Maintaining accurate stock levels and storage safety
•Managing deliveries, returns, and purchasing documentation
•Supporting the Maintenance Manager with day-to-day store administration
•Contributing to a positive and cooperative team environment
•Carrying out regular stock checks and maintaining company purchasing procedures
•Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
•Using computer-aided Maintenance Management applications and stock control systems
•Complying with all relevant health and safety procedures
What are we looking for?
•Previous experience in stock control and store administration
•Familiarity with ordering, invoicing, and receipting processes
•Competence using various computer applications
•Forklift license and experience (essential)
•Strong time management and organisational skills
•Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
•A proactive, “can do” attitude and willingness to use initiative
•A collaborative approach with a readiness to challenge and support colleagues constructively
Essential Experience
•Experience in a stores, stock control, or purchasing administration role
•Confident raising purchase orders and processing invoices
•Familiar with inventory systems or stock databases
•Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
•Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one)
•Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
•Good written and verbal communication
•Knowledge of health and safety in a stores or warehouse environment
