We are looking for a highly motivated, compassionate Band 5 Nurse to join our fantastic Maternity teams at Ipswich Hospital. If you are a nurse who is wishing to explore an interest in maternity care, this is the right post for you.
By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to increase your wealth of knowledge and experience by delivering care to patients as they start their journey into parenthood. The post holder will have a holistic approach to providing care and will be able to communicate effectively within the multidisciplinary team.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering high quality, evidence based clinical care to women and their babies on the postnatal ward. This is fixed term/ secondment post until 31/12/2025and it is ideal for someone looking for an opportunity to develop their clinical skills, knowledge and understanding in a new field of practice.
Main duties of the job
• To meet the needs of the Trust with regard to Induction, mandatory and statutory training
• To work within the framework for Clinical Governance to provide effective, high quality individualised
nursing care to patients and relatives/carers and to contribute to the continuing development of nursing
practice.
• To ensure high standards of patient care at all times, in line with Trust policies and guidelines
• To work as an effective member of the nursing and wider multi-professional healthcare team
• To work within the Trust’s Competency Framework for Registered Nurses, the Ward/ Department
Philosophy and the NMC Code of Conduct/ Professional Standards for the Protection of Patients
