An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially driven Sales Manager to join a leading international engineering business supplying process equipment and systems to the process, pharmaceutical, chemical, and biotechnology sectors.
This business specialise in valves, pumps, actuators, motors, drives and MRO Equipment - Bearings, Seals, Alignment, Sensors, etc.
This is a newly created role based at the company’s South Wales office, supporting nationwide operations and contributing directly to the growth and development of the UK business.
The Role
As part of the senior management team, you’ll take a hands-on leadership role overseeing a dynamic internal sales team, providing strategic and technical direction, and strengthening collaboration across external sales, operations, and supply chain functions.
You’ll play a key role in shaping company strategy, driving commercial performance, and ensuring seamless execution across all customer-facing activities.
Your remit will include managing commercial operations, developing supplier relationships, supporting HR and recruitment initiatives, and fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
You’ll also champion digital innovation, CRM adoption, and cross-departmental collaboration to deliver long-term growth and an exceptional customer experience.
Candidate Profile
We’re looking for a proven sales professional with strong commercial awareness and leadership skills, gained within engineering, manufacturing, or technical distribution.
You’ll bring:
* Experience managing teams – Sales, Operations or Engineering
* Strong communication, organisational and analytical abilities
* An innovative mindset with a results-driven approach
* Previous experience in manufacturing - Preferably in any of the following - Pumps, Valves, Seals, Actuators, Filtration, Motors, Drives, Automation, etc.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive leadership style
