About the Role
Piramal Group is inviting applications for the position of Senior Manager – Legal, a full-time opportunity based in Mumbai. This role is ideal for experienced legal professionals with strong expertise in corporate law, contract management, and compliance. The position involves working closely with various internal teams to provide legal advice, draft and negotiate contracts, and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks. As a senior member of the legal team, the candidate will also be responsible for supervising junior team members, managing workflows, and supporting business operations with timely legal solutions.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Manager – Legal will handle contract management, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements such as vendor contracts, NDAs, service agreements, and partnership deals. The role requires ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable laws. The candidate will also collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including finance, HR, procurement, and business divisions, to address legal concerns and streamline processes. Additionally, responsibilities include mentoring junior team members, managing legal workflows, preparing MIS reports, updating policies and SOPs, and advising on risk mitigation and compliance strategies to protect the organization’s interests.
Qualification & Experience
Candidates should hold either a B.Com + LL.B. or a 5‑year integrated BBA + LL.B. degree from a reputed institution. The role requires 6–9 years of experience in a corporate legal environment, with strong expertise in contract review, negotiation, and compliance matters. Applicants must be detail‑oriented, proactive, and capable of providing strategic legal advice to support business operations. Prior experience in managing legal teams, drafting high‑value agreements, and handling regulatory compliance will be highly advantageous.
