We have an exciting opportunity for a tool hire driver/yardperson in our Worthing depot. You will be required to collect and deliver to meet deadlines, whilst working safely and efficiently. Confident in securing loads and driving various items of small tools and plant equipment and towing a trailer.
To be suited to this role you will have experience of driving a van for work and have a willing and enthusiastic character.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for a 3.5t Driver/Yardperson:
* Must hold a full current driving licence and experience towing a trailer
* Should have good geographical knowledge of Worthing and surrounding areas within a 50 Mile radius
* Collection and delivery of goods as stated on paperwork
* Support of trade counter staff in ferrying on and off hires to and from workshop and yard
* Ensure the yard and warehouse is always swept and clean
* Safe storage of spares, Hire and Sales Stock
* Report any vehicle defects to management
* Must be fit and active as you will be loading and unloading machinery from the van
* Some experience of operating plant machinery would be an advantage
* Tacho card preferred
