About the role
The UCL Estate comprises around buildings, more than ,sqm (ksm of academic accommodation and around ksm student accommodation - or student bedrooms). The location, scale, variety and complexity of the estate are unparalleled in the sector, including world-leading research, teaching, offices and student accommodation within our Bloomsbury and UCL East campuses.
We have a significant lease book, with around 20, square meters of lease events in the next three years. In this job you’ll play an essential role in developing our leasehold strategy, using your knowledge and experience of real estate and your excellent stakeholder management skills to provide professional, technical and strategic advice on our Estate at a senior management level. You’ll use your commercial acumen and professional judgement to balance getting value for money with ensuring that your stakeholders have everything they need to maintain our world class teaching and research.

About you
To do this job you’ll need to be a chartered surveyor with significant experience in corporate real estate, and a track record of delivering real estate change. You’ll have a blend of strategy and transactional experience, with the ability to work with governance frameworks and manage senior stakeholders through times of change.
Knowledge of space strategy and management and space management and project management experience would be useful. But if you don’t have these things, but feel you tick our other boxes, we’d still love to hear from you!
