Principal Construction Manager
Salary: Up to £80,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

Let Us Introduce The Role
AWE is currently recruiting for a Principal Construction Manager responsible for providing strategic leadership and management of professional engineering services, in support of the CASD Programme and the company's strategic goals. You will serve as a focal point for construction advice, information, and expertise regarding policy, best practices, knowledge, and relevant standards. You will also ensure governance and management to meet relevant Nuclear Licence Conditions, safety codes, and quality standards.
We Do Need You To Have The Following
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience in a strategic construction leadership role, including team development, project target achievement, and maintaining high health and safety standards.
* Commercial experience with construction contracting, particularly NEC.
* Ability to articulate technical complexities and communicate effectively.
* Proficiency in chairing technical and general meetings and directing work to meet schedules.
* Capability to deliver construction management in manufacturing and/or research environments.
* Strong understanding of applicable legislation and standards related to safety within engineering (e.g., HSAWA, CDM).
* Experience leading multi-disciplinary groups.
* Knowledge of construction supply chain methodologies.
* Degree in engineering, construction, or resource/human resource management, or equivalent.
* Relevant safety certifications such as SMSTS, NEBOSH Construction, or equivalents.
* Industry-recognized safety scheme card (e.g., CSCS Manager's card, CCNSG Safety Passport, or equivalents).
