Job Description: ESOL Teacher

We are looking for an experienced ESOL teacher to join our team on a fixed term contract starting Mid September to December working 30 hours a week over 5 days.
As an ESOL teacher, you'll create tailored educational plans based on each student's needs and evaluate their progress through assignments and assessments.
You'll organise courses for non-native speakers, employing diverse activities and methods that cover all aspects of the English language, including speaking, writing, and comprehension.
We are currently delivering a wide range of government-funded programmes and services to support individuals, families, and businesses by promoting good health and encouraging employability. Among these, our ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) teaching plays a vital role in helping individuals improve their language skills, enabling them to access employment opportunities, integrate into their communities, and navigate essential services. By empowering participants with better communication skills, we contribute to their overall well-being and long-term success in both personal and professional spheres.
Although advertised as temporary, there is the potential for an extension, including full-time hours and the possibility of transitioning to a permanent contract after a qualifying period.
Responsibilities
* Prepare classroom and course materials.
* Deliver face-to-face lessons.
* Assign homework and exams.
* Grade students' assessments.
* Create individualised plans for students with special requirements (e.g., learning disabilities).
* Research and implement new teaching methods for teaching English as a second language.
* Create a supportive and positive classroom environment.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance and grades.
* Provide progress reports on students.
Requirements and Skills
* Previous experience as an ESOL teacher or in a similar role.
* Knowledge of various methods of teaching English to non-native speakers.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* A calm and resilient personality.
* Ability to handle work under pressure.
* ESOL, TESOL, TEFL, or equivalent certification.
* Driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally.
Desirable
* Knowledge of Arabic or other languages.
* Additional driving experience and willingness to travel.
