Job Description Summary:
Performing requirement development, coming from reference and applicable documents from Metiers, Standards, Certification, Safety, Platform and Customer.
- Defining the Train System architecture, operational modes and functionalities taking as input the external/internal requirements.
- Performing train system FMECA in coordination with RAMS team.
- Ensuring consistency and compatibility between all the sub-systems specifications.
- Writing sub-system specification and architecture description.
- Writes the Technical Purchasing Specification (TPS).
- Writes the TPS for supplier consultation and manages technical contact until design has been frozen.
- Drives technical relationships with suppliers with close management of QCD commitments (CbC), risks & validation (including Design Reviews with suppliers).
- Ensuring coordination on interfaces, performances, technical issues resolution during detailed design phase.
- Participating to technical meetings with customer in order to provide support.
Leads design reviews on their systems.
- Writing the train or equipment/system level test specifications.
- Defining and performing Train/equipment/system verification strategy.
- Providing weekly reporting on progress to engineering manager.
Job Description:
1. Design train electrical architecture, cubical layout and wiring routing.
2. Specificy electrical apparatus to be used on project he/she is affected according to Preferred Parts List and Project requirements.
3. Produce pure principle scheme PPS and project apparatus specification
4. Produce the wiring documentation - wiring tables, ELDA etc
5. Preparing and documenting Domain Design Reviews.
6. Checking CADs' and sub-contractor's Design Quality.
7. Realizing stack-up analysis.
8. Realizing Bill of Material.
9. Preparing and documenting Domain Design Reviews according to project schedule and following-up the main open actions.
10. Checking respect of Allocated volumes/interfaces (no-clashes) on internal design.
11. Resolving Project issues in assigned zone.
12. Reporting on the Electrical/Mechanical Domain activities progress and alerting relevant N+1 in case of issue potentially impacting achievement of QCD commitments.
13. Respecting and/or allocating requirements and interfaces to Sub-Systems/equipment (Allocated volume, weight, location, 3PL, etc.)
14. Analysing change request impacts on assigned zone and applying change if request accepted.
15. Performing 3D, design annotations and 2D deliverables in compliance with QCD commitments, Metier rules and processes.
