Financial Crime Hub Shift Lead
We are now hiring a Financial Crime Hub Shift Lead to join our dynamic, ever-growing team here at PPS Payments Hub, in a rapidly growing payments technology business, backed by Edenred and Mastercard.
The primary role of the Fin Crime Hub Shift Lead is to support of Fin Crime Hub Manager in the development, leadership, and coaching of our Fin Crime Analysts across several 1st lines of defense workstreams.
You will be responsible for up to 11 members of our Fin Crime team, whilst reporting to the Fin Crime Hub Manager.
What you will be doing:
1. Leading and coaching between 10-13 Financial Crime Analysts
2. Target focused, driving and fostering an empathetic, high-performance culture in the team and community
3. Supporting your team with their schedules, holidays and working hours including the overview and oversight of the daily/weekly/monthly volumes to ensure adequate resource planning to deal with workflow peaks and troughs
4. Providing coaching on tasks as the 1st point of escalation
5. Take ownership for the Formation and operation of processes and procedures
6. Analysing and understanding management information (MI) looking at trends and reporting relevant insights.
7. Monitoring and ensuring your team are achieving productivity and quality KPI’s
8. Positively communicating and embedding change that impacts the Financial Crime Hub
9. Contributing to a strong control environment by minimising breaches in SLA’s and quality.
10. Reviewing complaints attributed to the Financial Crime Hub and identifying opportunities for improvement.
11. Supporting job interviews for Financial Crime Analysts and contributing to hiring decisions.
12. Working collaboratively with 2LoD to identify, report and resolve issues
13. Maintaining a good understanding and awareness of regulatory requirements within AML/ fraud/compliance sector
What we want from you:
Essential:
14. At least two years’ management or coaching experience gained within a financial crime operations team.
15. Experience of working under pressure, in an ever changing and challenging environment
16. Knowledge of relevant financial services regulation and legislation
17. Proposing and implementing control frameworks
18. Prior experience of driving operational efficiencies in 1LoD
19. Highly organised with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines
20. Providing ongoing training and continuous knowledge sharing with the team
21. Proven experience in implementing and reviewing processes and controls to identify weaknesses
22. Strong written and verbal communication skills
23. Excellent influencing and challenging skills
24. Analytical and attention to detail
25. Experience of workforce planning
Desirable:
26. Experience of recruitment
27. Data Analysis using SQL or Power BI
28. Financial Crime qualifications i.e. ICA or ACAMS
