They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Senior ETL Lead to join their expanding data team on a long-term engagement. Job Responsibilities/Objectives: As the Senior ETL Lead, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimisation of scalable data pipelines and integration solutions. You will play a key role in enabling enterprise-wide analytics, management information (MI), and reporting capabilities. Lead the design and delivery of robust and scalable ETL solutions across multiple data sources and platforms. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions. Develop and maintain both real-time and batch data processing pipelines to support analytics and reporting needs. Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across all systems and processes. Implement and optimise messaging and streaming solutions (e.g. Kafka, Azure Event Hubs) for efficient data ingestion. Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in data engineering and ETL development. Maintain comprehensive documentation of data flows, architecture, and processes. Required Skills/Experience: Proven experience in ETL development and data engineering within large-scale environments. Strong proficiency with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or Azure Data Factory. In-depth understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and cloud-native data services. Practical knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus. Strong SQL skills and experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell). Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with experience working in Agile delivery teams. Desirable Skills/Experience: Familiarity with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data cataloguing tools. Experience leading or mentoring data engineering teams. Exposure to real-time analytics and streaming data architectures. Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools within data engineering environments.
