Position:
Two exciting opportunities have arisen to join our team of rotational post-registration foundation pharmacists.
Hours and Shift Pattern:
37 hours per week - In accordance with AFC Terms and conditionals you may be required to work over 7 days and/ or an extended working day
This post is offered on a permanent basis
You will be required to participate in departmental rotas including on call, weekends and extended hours

NHS Ayrshire & Arran have led the way in Scotland for pharmacy and prescribing developments with the introduction of electronic prescribing; the large number of pharmacist prescribers working in secondary and primary care to support person-centred care in accordance with Achieving Excellence in Pharmaceutical Care and our clinical service to our Emergency Departments and Combined Assessment Units (CAUs).
Our rotational training programme provides the opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of acute secondary care pharmacy services: clinical (combined assessment units, mental health, oncology, medicine and surgical specialties), dispensary and aseptic dispensing in addition to primary care. These posts involve rotation between general practices within Ayrshire, University Hospital Ayr (UHA), University Hospital Crosshouse (UHC) and Woodland View, Ayrshire Central Hospital to ensure as broad an experience of each service/specialty as possible.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as is the ability to work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team.
You will receive training and support to achieve the NES post-registration foundation programme qualification

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
You require to have a Master of Pharmacy degree or equivalent and be registered as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
