What's the Role? Data is what powers the Bloomberg Terminal and all of our enterprise products. With the vast amount of structured data available - and growing every day, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager to lead our annotation teams responsible for producing high-quality training and evaluation datasets tailored for generative AI applications in the finance domain. This role will be instrumental in establishing standard processes for data generation and annotations while ensuring alignment with business goals and technical needs. You will work closely with other teams including Product, Engineering, and the CTO's office to deliver data artifacts encoded with deep financial expertise. We'll trust you to: Develop and scale annotation teams focused on curating datasets that support the development of generative AI applications. Contribute to the development and implementation of the best-in-class standards, processes, and quality controls for data annotation programs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data efforts with strategic and technical priorities. Ensure annotation outputs reflect robust financial subject matter expertise. Drive innovation in annotation tooling, automation, and workflow optimization. Establish performance metrics and continuously improve efficiency and data quality. Promote an environment focused on mentorship, feedback, and continuous learning across the annotation organization You'll need to have: 10 years of experience in annotations, AI/ML workflows, or related domains, including 7 years of people management experience Consistent track record running large-scale annotation or data labeling programs. Deep understanding of generative AI systems and the importance of high-quality training data. Record of working with cross-functional teams developing successful products Ability to explain sophisticated topics and content to clients & non-technical audiences Familiarity with financial concepts, data, and applications Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
