A little bit about what we are looking for As an Extra Care Scheme Manager, you will provide a local housing management and support services to customers living within an Extra Care setting including partnership working closely with other agencies. Providing services on site taking ownership and ensuring that a consistently high quality service is provided to customers at all times to achieve positive outcomes, continuously improving performance standards, and contribute to the development of the Extra Care and Services Directorate, whilst implementing the Groups values in day to day work. This is an onsite role as you will provide day to day management services to Self-contained apartments - 63 apartments Wolsey & 78 apartments Abbey Mill. Your responsibilities Monitor all services which are being delivered within the scheme and ensure that the necessary standards are met with regards to the communal rooms and other communal facilities on the scheme Recruit, supervise, manage and appraise colleagues based at the scheme Carry out the induction training for colleagues and identify any training needs and ensure these are met Prepare and manage rotas ensuring that duty cover is provided between the hours of 8am -11pm 7 days a week and officers are available for Sleep-in duties from 11pm-8am Supervise the cleaning and garden maintenance contracts (for communal areas only) and maintenance of the building colleagues who are directly employed by PA Housing Assist in the preparation of budgets and presentation of accounts, monitor expenditure in line with budgetary constraints Undertaking Concierge duties ensuring the security of the scheme, including managing emergencies e.g. break-ins; fires; accidents etc Ensure all calls received through the emergency call system are responded to in a timely manner and ensure follow up action as required Attend panel meetings for the allocations of tenancies as required Carry out regular Fire safety equipment and warden-call equipment checks in accordance with PA Housing procedures Collate information for use at management liaison group meetings and other external meetings Provide verbal and written reports as requested Work in partnership with the domiciliary care provider who provides support on site Accompanying new tenants and introducing them to the scheme and customers Provision of advice on rents and service charges, including assistance in completing HB forms, advising on benefit changes and any relevant changes in tenant circumstances Arrange tenant meetings and activities that relate to housing management in the scheme Ensure a safe environment at the scheme with particular reference to safeguarding adults and children policy We recommend you read the full job description to get a really good understanding of what the role entails, you can find this as a downloadable attachment at the bottom of the advert.
