We are currently recruiting for a Head of Financefor a leading Construction company in the Dungannon area. They are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Finance to lead and evolve the finance function during an exciting period of growth and development. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to work closely with senior management and operational teams to drive financial performance, improve commercial insight, and ensure robust financial management across all areas of the business. Duties will include: As Head of Finance, youll take ownership of both high-level financial strategy and day-to-day financial operations. Youll be responsible for: Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare clear and insightful monthly and quarterly financial reports; collaborate with the Quantity Surveying team to analyse project margins and performance trends. Budgeting & Cost Management: Establish and oversee both project-level and corporate budgets; monitor variances and provide analysis to support improved forecasting and future planning. Forecasting & Strategic Planning: Lead the development of accurate financial forecasts, incorporating real-time project data and adapting to changes in programme timelines. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management: Manage day-to-day cash flow requirements; work closely with operational teams to ensure effective oversight of WIP and sufficient working capital. Cross-Functional Business Partnering: Engage with key departments to ensure financial data informs strategic and operational decision-making across the organisation. Leadership & Team Development: Provide strong leadership to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, and high performance. Internal Controls & Process Optimisation: Enhance internal control frameworks and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting through effective use of technology. Commercial & Tender Support: Contribute to the tendering process by providing financial analysis and insight; assess bid performance and support pricing strategy development. Essential Criteria: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within a project or contract-based environment. Strong analytical skills, with a commercial mindset and a hands-on approach to solving problems. Excellent communicator and team leader, capable of building trust across all levels of the business. Confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Skilled in financial systems, Excel, and reporting tools.
