Job Title: Maintenance Engineer Location: Bilston Area Pay Rate: £17.70 per hour Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (38 hours per week) General Role: We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in the Bilston area for a Maintenance Engineer. This role is responsible for managing engineering resources on a daily basis to ensure all production functions operate efficiently, maximising uptime and meeting customer requirements. You will also be responsible for carrying out repairs to buildings and non-production equipment, organising contractor work, and supporting wider company objectives while maintaining compliance with quality, environmental, and health & safety standards. Key Requirements: Strong communication skills Reliable timekeeping Team player with respect for others Flexible and positive attitude Ability to follow instructions effectively Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Experience with CNC and PLC machinery, rotary flatbed die-cutting presses, horizontal splitting machines, and slitter/rewind lamination Main Responsibilities: Plan and implement Preventive and Autonomous Maintenance Provide engineering support across group companies when required Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment Identify and report issues or unsafe practices promptly Minimise production costs and waste Evaluate equipment performance and implement improvements Recommend and support process improvements Manage external contractors and service providers Maintain accurate maintenance records in line with company standards Manage spare parts planning and inventory Ensure machinery and site services operate safely at all times Learning & Development: Attend training sessions to support development Participate in regular reviews with management Additional Duties: Carry out any other duties as required Maintain strict confidentiality at all times Maintain and manage the company maintenance vehicle Why Work for Pure Staff?
