Senior Carer - Residential Care Home - Bank role at TieTalent
As a Bank Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home, you'll look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person-centred care and support. You will lead a team of care staff on shift, including training, supervision and delegating duties. You will also support the administering and ordering of medication, review and update resident care plans and risk assessments, and liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and resident family members. You will always respect the dignity and preferences of our residents and help create a warm, welcoming and vibrant environment.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of care staff on shift with training, supervision and delegation of duties.
* Administer and order medications as appropriate.
* Review and update resident care plans and risk assessments.
* Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and resident family members.
* Uphold dignity and preferences of residents and contribute to a warm, welcoming environment.
About You / Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
* Experience in a residential care setting with proven leadership skills.
* Ability to make appropriate decisions to support residents’ needs and wellbeing.
* Warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to providing individualized care.
* Willing to develop through ongoing training opportunities; progression to advanced care roles available.
* This is a Bank position with variable hours; nights availability is particularly sought.
