Job Title:
Stock Count Lead

Location:
Peterhead

Duration:
3 Months FTC

Work Type:
Full Time, Monday - Friday, 37.5 hrs

Job Purpose

Responsible for the safe and efficient stock checking of the client's materials at third-party sites.

Roles & Responsibilities

Operational Activities

* In coordination with the client, arrange timings with third parties to perform physical counts.
* Issue a scope of work to each vendor outlining requirements and expectations for the stock count.
* Develop and deliver an inventory count plan in collaboration with the client and third-party vendors.
* Perform physical counts (physical-to-book and book-to-physical) at all third-party locations.
* Understand warehouse and materials management operational requirements and ensure vendors meet these standards.
* Photograph and identify all client items.
* Conduct a high-level safety review of each location.
* Identify items that are damaged, beyond economic repair, out of preservation, or expired.
* Recount and analyse discrepancies as required.
* Reconcile variances by collaborating with third-party suppliers.
* Generate and sign completed count lists.
* Produce a detailed count report for each third-party company.

Continuous Improvement

* Work collaboratively with direct reports and the wider team to identify improved ways of working, learning from previous mistakes or trends of non-conformance.
* Promote and support continuous improvement projects and activities.

Minimum Qualifications

* Management/Logistics qualification (or equivalent experience).
* Current UK driving licence.

Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge & Behaviours)

* Assertive, while maintaining positive working relationships.
* Effective time management.
* Computer literate with strong IT skills across the Microsoft suite.
* Extensive SAP experience.
* Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, adaptable to changing priorities, while maintaining high standards under pressure.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
* Solutions-focused with strong planning, organisational, and numerical skills, and excellent attention to detail.
* Strong customer service orientation and commercial awareness.
* Excellent analytical and logical problem-solving ability.
* Strong safety performance with knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Respectful, confidential, and professional.
* High accuracy and data integrity standards.
* Experience in oil and gas logistics.
* Operational / warehouse management experience.

Desirable Qualifications / Competencies

* Supervisory experience.
* Workplace Safety Representative.
* Fire Warden.
* First Aider.

HSEQ

* In partnership with the HSE department, ensure continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance, and compliance with all laws, regulations, and industry standards/codes.
* Report all incidents or breaches of policy/regulations to the line manager.
* Fully endorse the client's
"Stop the Job"
policy and commit to proactive intervention where unsafe acts or conditions are observed.
* Adhere to the client's integrated management system, ensuring document control and continuous improvement of key processes.
