Contract: Permanent - Full Time
Hours: Covering day and night shifts
Salary: £13.10 - £14.10 per hour depending on experience

The Sidcup offers nursing and residential care, both long‑term and short‑stay care. The home is purpose‑built with modern comforts and conveniences, providing a warm and homely environment where residents can relax and feel safe inside the home and in the gardens. All bedrooms have en‑suite facilities and are furnished to a high standard. The two‑floor building includes dining rooms, lounges, a cinema lounge, well‑maintained gardens, a hairdressing salon, and a private lounge suitable for family events and celebrations. Visiting professionals such as physiotherapists and chiropodists support residents, and weekly GP visits provide regular, personalised medical reviews as part of person‑centred care. Meals feature a wide range of nutritious dishes prepared with fresh ingredients; the chef tailors menus to individual dietary needs. Regular tea rounds and fresh cakes follow lunch. Activities include quizzes, bingo, film afternoons, board games, arts and crafts, local trips, entertainers, pantomimes, tai chi, holistic massage and aromatherapy.
Key Responsibilities
* Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
* Observe and manage residents’ behaviour with care and ensure accurate documentation and reporting of any changes in accordance with legislation.
* Support residents’ nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
* Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
* Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory and legal requirements.

* Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Desirable: previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.
