Are you looking to shape Health & Safety across both factory floors and live construction environments?
This is your opportunity to take ownership of Health & Safety for a long-established UK manufacturer with several local production facilities and a wide range of installation and construction activities across the region.
You’ll play a key role in shaping culture across both factory and site environments - supporting managers, coaching teams and ensuring safe, consistent operations every day. With direct access to senior leadership, you’ll be trusted, visible and able to influence how the function develops.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead Health & Safety across multiple manufacturing facilities and active construction/installation sites across the Midlands and South England
* Carry out regular inspections and audits across factories and sites - ensuring safe equipment use, lifting operations, strong RAMS and effective subcontractor control
* Develop and improve H&S documentation including risk assessments, RAMS and SSOW
* Support and coach supervisors, site managers and production managers to strengthen day-to-day safety leadership and behaviours
* Lead accident and incident investigations, ensuring clear actions and meaningful learning
* Deliver internal H&S training and toolbox talks and maintain constructive relationships with regulatory bodies
What We’re Looking For
* A blend of manufacturing and construction/site experience - experience in either environment with strong transferable skills will also be considered
* Understanding of machinery/equipment safety, workplace transport, lifting operations and construction-phase risks
* Practical experience working with subcontractors, RAMS, crane operations, scaffolding or site-based installation activities
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent level H&S qualification (or NEBOSH Certificate with highly relevant experience)
* Confident communicator able to challenge appropriately while building trust across diverse teams
* Full UK driving licence
What’s On Offer
* A competitive basic salary of £50,000 - £60,000
* Fully funded EV company car (Tesla)
* Mileage reimbursed at HMRC EV rate
* 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays
* Pension Scheme
* Laptop, phone and travel expenses paid
* 1-2 days per week home working once established
* Flexible working hours around role requirements
Why Join?
* A high-impact, autonomous role where you can shape the Health & Safety function
* Direct access to senior leadership in an open, collaborative environment
* Strong foundations already in place - with space to refine, improve and influence culture
* A stable, long-established business entering an exciting phase of operational development
* The chance to work across both manufacturing and construction environments, offering genuine variety and career development
