Shape a Home from Day One This is an exciting opportunity to become the Registered Manager of a brand-new 3-bed EBD children's home, launching soon in Buckhurst Hill for a passionate, child-centred provider, someone with a background in education, hands-on care experience, and a vision to build a small, supportive, and family-style environment for young people. You'll be joining a small, passionate team with a clear goal: to create a safe, family-feel environment where children and staff thrive together. The provider is child-first, community-led, and offers full backing to the right RM to run this home their way with support from the RI and the company owner. What's in it for you? Up to £60,000 Bonuses Salary review once the home is fully up and running Flexible shift pattern - You help design it 33 days annual leave Healthcare standard pension On-call rota shared and negotiable Great access to the Central Line (driving licence preferred but not essential) Clear pathway to dual-site management or RI as the company expands Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations and the safety and welfare of the children Lead, develop, and inspire your team Manage compliance with children's residential care regulations Liaise with external agencies, professionals, and families Assist with home setup, recruitment, and policy implementation (Ofsted registration already submitted) Have the opportunity to shape the culture and practice of the home from scratch Requirements: A current Registered Manager or Deputy ready to step up Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards it) Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures Experience supporting young people with EBD Confident leader with excellent communication and decision-making skills Values-driven, consistent, and committed to making a difference First Aid and Safeguarding Children certifications (or willingness to update) Why Join?
