HOURS: 24/30 hours, term time, With holiday work available.

Safe equestrian are delighted to be working in partnership with the education sector in north Lincolnshire. We cater for secondary school pupils who are largely disengaged with mainstream education, offering a diverse setting upon a farm with enthusiasm on experimental learning opportunities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Deputy Education manager in planning of tasks to ensure efficient running off the Alternative Provision.
Complete task in a timely manner, ensuring the Deputy Learning manager has all the information they need.
To ensure you take care to work in line with the company's policies and standards, maintaining quality care.
To effectively lead, support and motivate a diverse range of students to achieve agreed goals.
Deliver engage and enriching activities to a student on a 2-1 ration- 3 days in provision, 1 day in the community.
To develop strategies in supporting students to progress
To adhere to Safe Equestrians policies and procedures and lead by example.
To accurately maintain safeguarding procedure and protocol
To communicate professionally, effectively and appropriately with your team and the wider organisation to enable the optimum student, equine and animals care.
To work hands-on with the team to monitor and improve methods and able to delegate tasks where necessary.
To liaise effectively and consistently with your managers, openly communicating on all topics.
To respond appropriately and promptly to concerns.
To input into meetings with peers within the organisation, proactively and positively finding solutions to challenges.
Expectations
We are seeking an education mentor who is passionate about inspiring young people.
To participate in in-house training and carry learned skills into practice.
To ensure, as far as reasonably practical, observance and adherence to the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
To adhere to Safeguarding polies, regulation and procedures at all times
To ensure that services and conduct are in accordance with the company standards, equal opportunities, and objectives of Quality Assurance.
To perform other such duties, of a like nature, as may from time to time be required by the Company.
To Promote a nurturing approach towards all students, staff and animals.
The successful applicants will be passionate about pupil mental health and well-being and have a calming approach to behaviour management. Resilience and commitment is a must.
GENERAL
Ensure that all within the teams have a grasp of the Company's structure, Safe Equestrians Values and purpose and have opportunities for involvement in its further development.
Ensure the maintenance of confidentiality in respect of staff, and client records and all privileged information relating to the services of the Company, its equines, staff and supporters and particularly of the area for which directly involved.
Promote and foster the Company's reputation and standing within the community and nationally; with private, statutory and voluntary sector agencies and organisations.
Undertake any other duties which may be reasonably required.
Mentors are required to carry out tutor sessions between 9:00 and 3pm, with a 2 hour allowance for planning with management. The company provides functional skills learning opportunities, so knowledge of this base would be beneficial.
