Overview
Reporting into the Area Manager, the Pharmacy Practice Manager role combines patient care and commercial focus. The role requires a strong leader passionate about healthcare, patients, and driving a profitable business. This role is accountable for delivering all pharmacy-related targets and deadlines, managing the store pharmacist and pharmacy colleagues, and supporting the drive to make Asda Pharmacy the best in class.
Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and develop the pharmacy team to deliver excellent patient experience and maintain high standards of patient safety.
* Take direct responsibility for the support and development of all direct reports and locums, ensuring compliance with GPhC operating standards and clinical governance.
* Manage day‑to‑day operations and work with in‑store, regional and home‑office teams for clinical and service queries.
* Implement and monitor key performance indicators and defined KRAs.
* Address challenging situations, maintain solid connections in store and with field teams.
Qualifications
* A fully qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC.
* Accredited to deliver national and local services for the NHS and private healthcare.
* Ability to balance the role of line manager and pharmacist to deliver a safe working environment.
* Experience inspiring and motivating a team to achieve defined KRAs.
* Experience in challenging and solving difficult situations while maintaining strong connections.
* Valid GPhC registration, right to work in the UK, and safeguarding qualifications.
* Completion of a DBS check and enrollment in the live update service.
