Set in acres of rolling woodland and picturesque grounds, our Faygate practice is surrounded by wildlife and near the South Downs National Park and Jurassic Coast. We are renowned for providing market-leading care to our patients and their owners, supported by a friendly and welcoming team.
We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse with at least 2 years of experience to join our dedicated, friendly, and supportive team, where patient care is at the core. Our well-equipped branch features digital and dental radiography, multiparameter anaesthetic monitors, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, full lab equipment, CT, and two theatres. The clinic offers a separate cat waiting area, separate cat and dog wards, and an isolation facility. This role averages 20 hours per week, primarily on weekends, with potential for more hours if desired.

Responsibilities
Client Care:
* Deliver exceptional care to clients every day.
Patient Care:
* Support the vet with operations or procedures as required.
* Carry out nurse-led appointments.
* Monitor and care for patients.
* Manage admissions and discharges for procedures, under the guidance of the Vet or Lead Vet.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
* Complete all pre- and post-operation activities.
* Provide daily care, including walking, toileting, and feeding.
* Coordinate patient transfers to out-of-hours care providers or for enhanced care.
* Dispense and check medications, following guidance from the Vet/Lead Vet and within your clinical competence.
Standards and Compliance:
* Ensure clinical compliance with all regulations and practice standards.
* Follow health and safety requirements.
Commercial Performance:
* Promote nurse-led appointments to enhance patient care and clinic capacity.
Communications:
* Hold daily briefings and coordinate activities for effective clinic operation.
Clinical Administration:
* Take samples as directed by the Vet/Lead Vet.
* Package and send lab tests.
* Manage stock effectively, including rotation and expiry management.
* Escalate issues to the Practice Manager or Vet/Lead Vet as needed.
* Prepare the back of house for procedures.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
* Must be an RCVS registered nurse.
* Team player.
* Support nurse consultations, contributing to clinic performance and efficiency.
* Deliver exceptional client care.
* Use coaching and influencing skills to support colleagues.
