Our client, a major UK building materials company is seeking an experienced Software Tester to support a key programme of work across its Workforce Management (WFM) platforms. This contract role will focus on ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of time, attendance, and overtime calculation functionality used across a large operational workforce.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well‑established enterprise organisation on business‑critical systems.
Essential Experience (Must Have)
* Proven experience as a Software Tester / QA Analyst on enterprise systems
* Strong background testing Workforce Management, Time & Attendance, or HR software
* Hands‑on experience testing overtime calculations and complex working time rules
* Solid understanding of test design techniques and QA best practices
* Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Key Responsibilities
* Execute functional, regression, and UAT testing of Workforce Management software
* Validate complex overtime calculations, shift patterns, premiums, and pay rules
* Review business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios
* Identify, log, and track defects to resolution using agreed tools and processes
* Work closely with developers, business analysts, and operational stakeholders
* Support release activities and ensure high‑quality delivery to production
* Provide clear feedback on risks, defects, and edge cases
