Temporary School Caretaker (Full-Time)Location: SunderlandStart Date: ASAPContract: Temporary until end of JulyHours: Full-time (shift rotation)We are seeking a reliable and proactive Temporary School Caretaker to join our site team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support the smooth running of a school environment during a busy period.This role operates on a rotating shift pattern:
* 6:00am - 2:00pm (2 weeks)
* 11:00am - 7:00pm (2 weeks)
There may be some flexibility with hours for the right candidate.Key Responsibilities
* Opening and securing school buildings and grounds
* Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs
* Ensuring the school site is clean, safe, and well-presented
* Supporting health & safety checks and compliance
* Assisting with deliveries and setting up rooms for school activities/events
* Liaising with contractors where required
Requirements
* Previous caretaker, maintenance, or facilities experience is desirable
* A proactive, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong awareness of health and safety practices
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential
