• Contract: Fixed Term • Location: Bury St Edmunds • Closing Date: 4 August 2025 Grade: Tier 2. Hourly rate: £14.44 Campaign rate: £17.30 Working Pattern: Day based, 8 hours, Morning & Afternoon. The position is TEMPORARY, employment will end approximately March 2026 (To be confirmed). Job Purpose Reporting to the Process Lead, you will form part of the Beet Slicer station team. Main responsibilities will include operation of the Beet Slicer machines, changing and rebuilding knife blocks, quality assurance checks and maintaining the station to a high standard while complying with safety, production, quality and all other compliance requirements. Core Accountabilities • Assembling Knife blocks to the correct tolerance in order to maintain product quality within specified limits. • Working on your own and as part of a team to maintain station performance. • Identifying reporting and resolving operational issues before they escalate. • Satisfying safety, production, quality and all other compliance requirements. Skills, Knowledge & Competencies Ideally you will have practical experience, preferably in a production environment and/or operation of plant, although comprehensive training will be given to the successful candidate. You will have good communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.
