Business and Systems Assistant Administrator (Fixed‑term/Secondment)
Join NHS Tayside in the Staff Bank Office, Level 9, Ninewells Hospital. This Band 3, fixed‑term position (until 20/11/2026) will cover maternity leave. With effect from 01 April 2026, NHS Scotland is reducing its full‑time working week from 37 to 36 hours per week – there will be no change in full‑time pay.
Job Overview
As a Systems and Business Assistant Administrator you will support the sourcing, engagement and supply of Bank and Agency supplementary staffing across NHS Tayside. The role focuses on securing and engaging Medical, Allied Health Professionals and other Clinical Professionals agency supply. You will receive induction and orientation, and a mentor will support your familiarisation with systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Source, engage and manage Bank and Agency staff for NHS Tayside.
• Secure and engage medical, allied health and other clinical professionals for agency supply.
• Record and enter accurate data into electronic systems.
• Work with the Staff Bank team and line managers to meet staffing needs.
Qualifications and Experience
• Formal administrative qualification or equivalent office‑based clerical, systems and administrative experience.
• Previous experience with electronic systems and customer service essential; NHS administrative experience desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and proven experience in accurate data entry and information recording.
• Mandatory induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and compliance with the Code of Conduct.
Working Hours
8:00 am – 4:00 pm, with some flexibility of attendance to be discussed with your line manager.
