Salary: £54,702 per annum (increasing to £60,780 in 18 months) + £750 Homeworking Allowance + £1,500 Out of Hours Allowance per annum
Hours: 35 per week

Location: Homebased with travel required around East Midlands (Derbyshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire & Peterborough)

Key Responsibilities
Report directly to the Operational Director of Children’s Services and oversee a team of Deputy Area Managers, Social Workers, Family Finders, Recruitment Managers & Officers, Consultants, Panel Members, Administration Team and Children’s and Young People’s Resource Workers. The role is non‑case holding but may require occasional casework coverage due to staff sickness or leave. The manager will ensure smooth running of the team, prioritise trauma‑informed and therapeutic methodologies, support diversity and inclusion, and maintain service provision across the East Midlands region.
Qualifications & Experience
 * A Level 5 Management Qualification (or willingness to enrol within 6 months and complete within 3 years)
 * 3‑5 years of post‑qualifying experience in fostering or other childcare settings
 * Proven track record working with and on behalf of children, respecting individuality and promoting positive development
 * Experience managing a diverse and experienced team, ideally remotely
 * Experience delivering group work and/or training
 * Up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant legislation including Fostering National Minimum Standards and regulations
 * Strong planning, prioritisation and organisational skills
 * Excellent communication and IT skills, including virtual meetings and webinars
 * Ability to ensure regulatory compliance and service monitoring
 * Safeguarding responsibility for children and young people
 * Participation in out‑of‑hours rota
 * Management of Service Operational Plan, budget and contracts
 * Panel Advisor duties

Additional Information
An Enhanced DBS clearance is required and will be processed by TACT. The role will require travel across the East Midlands region and face‑to‑face meetings at least once a month.
