JOB SUMMARY
Generate sustainable, predictable revenue growth using Nordson EFD’s product portfolio to either serve a specific customer need and/or create the need based on Nordson’s extensive application knowledge.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain and organise the Development Laboratory in the Dunstable field office.
2. Facilitate Client visits to the laboratory.
3. Work with the client and associated sales colleagues to organise and execute Project Demos / Trials as needed. Maintain technical records / reports of such trials.
4. Facilitate training of both EFD employees and Strategic distributors on the latest technology offerings from EFD.
5. Develop detailed SYSTEMs territory map and review it quarterly with the Technical /Regional Manager.
6. Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services, respond to more complex customer application enquiries.
7. Projects: Work closely with customers to complete application questionnaires and collaborate with Technical Manager / Regional Manager; to clearly identify the scope of supply agreed with the customer.
8. Working closely with the Regional Systems- and Application Manager, prepare system offers and record them in CRM package.
9. Develop Solution-based selling capabilities; from developing customer need to project follow-up and delivery.
10. Negotiate pricing and delivery times within limits of authority and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets.
11. Maintain customer relationship throughout the life of the project(s) to ensure timely delivery, on budget and on specification.
12. Identify, research, and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business.
13. Complete weekly System quotes, - sales reports and maintain customer data in Nordson’s CRM system.
14. Refer sales leads, customer feedback and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization.
15. Establish monthly sales plans to discuss with the Regional Manager and prioritize and schedule own activities so that targets are met.
16. Provide input for bi-weekly sales forecast and monthly reporting (by 3rd working day of each month): Project pipeline overview by customer, opportunity stage (30%, 70%, 90%) in US$ and next steps to move the project forwards.
17. Participate in trade shows to support all marketing activities in the territory or where required.
18. Work with accounts receivable to make sure that agreed credit terms are met.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
19. Diploma of engineering would be considered or equivalent, BEng would be ideal
20. Minimum of 1,5 to 2 years field sales experience in a business to business
21. Preferable sales experience within the Medical and/or Automotive or Electronics
PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
22. Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills.
23. Good analytical skills, able to deal with technical queries and applications.
24. Able to work with people of all levels.
25. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Power BI, SAP, Business Explorer, BW and C4C.
26. Ability to work on new initiatives and strategies directed by management
27. Good reporting style and able to report in a well and clear way to management and customers
TRAVEL REQUIRED
28. 60% travel within the territory.
