The role: Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will oversee the management of the daily operations of the Department whilst maximising profitability, reducing waste and developing continuing improvement strategies. Your duties will include: Ensure that planned output is achieved precisely, economically and to the predetermined quality standards Working in conjunction with the Technical Department, supporting the heads of departments to maintain quality and legality of product and are producing in line with customer specifications and standards, ensuring GMP and technical requirements are adhered to Monitors and analyses the Departments performance on a daily and weekly basis against Departmental KPI themes of Quality, Value, Innovation and People Identify, measure, trend and communicate to all departmental performance against agreed Critical Brand Behavioral Indicators Instill promote and maintain a customer service culture/brand where the customer always comes first. This includes customer service culture for our internal and external customers Ensure that good housekeeping and hygiene practices are always maintained, giving particular attention to product safety and integrity, temperature control and general hygiene Demonstrate leadership, vision and respect for others and a commitment to quality and excellence in how you manage, motivate and lead your department The ideal candidate will possess the following skills / qualifications / attributes: - Essential Criteria include: Minimum of 3 years experience of management in a food manufacturing environment Level 3 in H&S. eg. IOSH Managing Safely. Level 3 Food Safety Recognised PC skills (Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Power point) Data driven, disciplined, objective and detail orientated Hours of work: 40 hours per week.
