SEN Teaching Assistants - September Start \n\nAcademics are recruiting on behalf of an SEN Primary School that cater for children aged 4 - 11 years with complex learning difficulties. We are seeking Teaching Assistants with experience working within an SEN setting or someone who is willing to learn!\n\nAll children at the school have a severe level of learning difficulties and many have associated disabilities such as autism, speech and language disorders and challenging behaviour. Every child within the School has an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP).\n\nThey are looking to take on full-time Teaching Assistants to start ASAP so please only apply if you are looking for a long term or permanent position.
The school is based in Southampton so you will need to be based here or be willing to travel into Southampton. \n\nTo be considered for this role you should:\n\nHave experience of supporting children with special educational needs or be willing to learn. \nBe empathetic and nurturing.\nBe able to manage varying levels of challenging behaviour.\nHave the ability to think on your feet and adapt to situations.
This could be a challenging environment to work in, but also very rewarding.
