About the Role
As a Senior Accountant, you’ll work closely with a broad portfolio of clients, helping them stay compliant while supporting their growth with practical financial advice. This role combines accounts preparation, compliance, and client advisory work — ideal for someone who enjoys variety and client interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders in line with FRS 102 and IFRS.
* Complete and review VAT returns, P11Ds, and PSA submissions.
* Produce management accounts, reports, and integrated cash flow forecasts.
* Oversee and review bookkeeping using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks.
* Support the preparation of corporation tax returns and liaise with the tax team on more complex matters.
* Build strong client relationships, providing proactive support and guidance.
* Mentor and assist junior staff to develop their technical and client-facing skills.
* Ensure work is completed within deadlines and to high professional standards.
About You
* ACA or ACCA qualified
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice environment
* Strong technical understanding of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and IFRS
* Proficient in cloud-based software such as Xero, Sage, and CaseWare
* Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a supportive team
