A leading international law firm with a strong London presence is looking to hire a Finance Legal Assistant to join a highly regarded finance team working closely with private equity sponsors and fund managers. The team advises on fund-level and sponsor-side financing arrangements, including capital call and subscription facilities, and works on complex, high-value matters with a genuinely international dimension.
The role sits at the heart of the team’s ongoing work, supporting the day-to-day management of a large portfolio of capital call and related facilities for a small number of key sponsor clients. Working closely with a senior associate, you’ll be involved in managing existing agreements, supporting amendments, extensions and refinancings, assisting with new sub-lines, and helping to keep these facilities running smoothly. The work is structured, detail-driven and varied, and would suit someone who enjoys being closely involved in live matters rather than providing purely administrative support.
The team is collaborative, busy and supportive, and the firm is known for the quality of its work and the calibre of its clients. This is a role that offers strong training, responsibility and exposure, with the opportunity to build real expertise in finance within a top-tier environment. Candidates are likely to have previous experience as a legal assistant or paralegal within a law firm or professional services setting, and while finance exposure is helpful, attitude, organisation and attention to detail are far more important. You’ll need to be comfortable managing your own workload, liaising with colleagues across different time zones, and working confidently with systems such as Excel and document management platforms. Flexibility is important, as the role does occasionally require overtime, which is paid.
Overall, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a high-performing finance team, gain exposure to sophisticated private equity and fund finance work, and become a valued part of a respected international practice.
