The main focus of the role will include:
* Designs and develops data pipelines for the preparation, transformation and loading of data into the appropriate data storage
* systems, following standard medallion architecture principles.
* Oversee ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations to ensure data from various sources is accurately transformed and loaded
* into data stores.
* Implement data quality check, validation rules, and profiling techniques to maintain high data integrity.
* Work on data cleansing and normalisation to ensure data usability for business reporting and analysis purposes.
* Communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members ensuring alignment on project goals and data strategies.
* Optimise data models for performance and scalability.
* Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues ensuring systems and pipelines run smoothly.
* May lead smaller projects or part of larger projects involving planning, execution and reporting
* Support code reviews, help mentor team members and guide project tasks
* Participation in design and implementation of data warehousing solutions as required to meet business needs.
* Adhere to architecture, design, implementation, and security standards and best practices.
* Prepare technical documentation, including data flow, data storage design, test results, and technical manuals.
* Ensures data consistency and integrity during the integration process, performing data validation and cleaning as needed.
