Mott Macdonald Bentley (MMB) is the design and build unit of global engineering consultancy Mott Macdonald. We are currently looking to recruit an Ecologist to support us in delivering work within our Thames framework.
MMB has successfully extended its contract with Thames Water for an additional five years. Thames Water, the largest water and wastewater provider in the UK, serves 15 million customers throughout London and the Thames Valley. This extension will carry the current agreement through to the end of AMP8 in March 2030. MMB is delivering work on three frameworks in the region, involving a varied programme of water and wastewater projects to improve the network.
We are seeking an Ecologist with experience in field surveys using UK Habitat assessment, Biodiversity Net Gain condition assessment, and protected species surveys. Knowledge of wildlife legislation, planning processes, and EIA/HRA assessments, along with survey experience, is essential.

Candidate Requirements:
* A degree in Ecology or a related field.
* Chartership or relevant experience to achieve it.
* Knowledge of survey guidance and protected species licensing (preferably bats or great crested newts).
* Strong report writing skills.
* Experience mentoring junior staff and assessing biodiversity net gain.
