Job Title: Travel Retail Account Manager (Cruise & Airport Channels)
Location: UK – Remote with Travel to Office in Manchester
Reports to: Sales & Marketing Director
Role Overview
The Travel Retail Account Manager is responsible for managing and developing key travel retail accounts across the cruise and airport channels. This role ensures the execution of brand strategy, drives retail performance, and strengthens partnerships with operators and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, excellent relationship‑building skills, and a deep understanding of the travel retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Account Management & Business Development
o Manage a portfolio of cruise and airport retail partners to deliver sales targets and brand objectives.
o Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and pursue new business opportunities across travel retail channels.
o Negotiate annual agreements, promotional plans, space allocations, and commercial terms.
o Maintain regular contact with buyers, retail operators, and onboard teams to ensure alignment and performance.
o Monitor sell‑in and sell‑out performance; analyse sales data to optimise assortment, pricing, and stock levels.
o Implement action plans to address performance gaps and maximise revenue.
o Produce monthly and quarterly business reviews for internal stakeholders.
* Retail Excellence & Activation
o Work closely with external customer merchandising and marketing teams to deliver impactful launches, visibility, and retail animations.
o Ensure that brand standards, guidelines, and training are consistently implemented onboard and at airport locations.
o Coordinate and support product training for crew and retail staff.
* Operational Support
o Forecast demand and coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery and avoid stock‑outs.
o Manage product listings, new item set‑ups, and compliance with travel retail requirements.
o Travel to cruise ships, airports, and trade shows as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* 3–5 years of experience in account management, sales, or travel retail (cruise or airport experience preferred).
* Strong commercial, negotiation, and analytical skills.
* Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Excellent communication skills; ability to present confidently.
* Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
* Willingness to travel regularly.
