Job Description
A growing food manufacturer is seeking an experienced and proactive Technical Manager to take full ownership of compliance across the business. This is a key leadership role focused on Food Safety, Health & Safety, and maintaining high operational standards across multiple sites.
You will act as the central point of contact for all compliance matters, working closely with internal teams, external suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
Key Responsibilities
* Compliance Leadership - Lead and manage Food Safety and Health & Safety compliance across factory and retail operations.
* Accreditation Management - Ensure ongoing adherence to SALSA and/or BRC standards.
* Team Development - Support and develop the Health & Safety Supervisor to maintain best practice.
* External Liaison - Work with suppliers, contractors, and consultants to ensure all compliance obligations are met.
* Governance & Reporting - Oversee compliance meetings, ensuring accurate minutes, clear actions, and timely follow‑up.
* Monthly Reporting - Provide structured compliance updates to senior leadership, highlighting risks and progress.
* Regulation Monitoring - Keep policies and procedures current with industry and legislative changes.
* Continuous Improvement - Promote a strong compliance culture across all departments.
Requirements
* Experience in Food Manufacturing and leading site technical function
* Strong working knowledge of Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations.
* Experience with SALSA and/or BRC accreditation.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Proven ability to manage external relationships.
