About the Role
We are recruiting a Planning Engineer to support a key nuclear energy client at Sizewell. This role is part of a wider project management and controls team, contributing to nuclear defueling and decommissioning programmes across the UK. Youll be working within a structured environment that values collaboration, safety, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and manage robust project schedules, integrating risk, cost, and resource data.
- Support planning for the full project lifecycle, with a focus on defueling and ALR2 commitments.
- Create and maintain cost- and resource-loaded schedules using Primavera P6.
- Establish and monitor baselines, work breakdown structures, and project control frameworks.
- Integrate third-party schedules and provide consolidated reporting to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and client stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely schedule delivery.
- Produce clear, insightful reports aligned to agreed cycles and governance.
Skills & Experience Required
- HNC/HND (preferably in an engineering discipline) or relevant equivalent experience.
- Strong experience across project and programme lifecycles within regulated sectors (nuclear preferred).
- Skilled in Primavera P6 and planning best practices.
- Ability to manage cost/resource data, build schedules from first principles, and communicate with stakeholders.
