Job Description

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support for Windows 10/11 devices, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting with infrastructure management across multiple locations within the UK.


Key Responsibilities

1. Build, refurbish, and install OS and applications on Windows devices via Azure AD.
2. Support desktop/laptop hardware and software within MMD infrastructure.
3. Manage CMDB and support ticket resolution for Windows deployment issues.
4. Assist users with application installation, troubleshooting, and support for desktops, laptops, tablets, and phones.
5. Manage end-to-end infrastructure, including core applications and device management.
6. Provide first-line network support, user account management, and support for Microsoft Exchange, printers, antivirus, and patch deployment.
7. Create and support meeting rooms and assist in performance monitoring and preventative maintenance.
8. Troubleshoot O365 issues and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve technical problems.
9. Participate in BAU support and project delivery as instructed by the line manager.
10. Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
11. Conduct periodic audits of security controls.
12. Physically move and set up devices at user locations or dispatch devices via courier.
13. Assist in creating technical documentation, reports, and manuals.
14. Support device unpacking, repackaging, and shipping logistics.
15. Travel across multiple UK locations based on project needs.


Key Skills and Knowledge

* Support experience with Windows 7, 10, and 11 (onsite and remote).
* Strong knowledge of hardware and software management for desktops, laptops, and tablets.
* Experience with device configuration, troubleshooting, and security protocols.
* Proficiency with O365 products and services.
* Knowledge of device security, antivirus management, and PowerShell scripting.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.


Experience Requirements

* Proven experience in desktop support roles, supporting hardware and software.
* Hands-on experience with device configuration and troubleshooting.
* Knowledge of security and antivirus management.
* Strong communication and customer-oriented attitude.
