Head of Computer Science – The Role
We are seeking a committed and knowledgeable Head of Computer Science to lead the department on a temporary basis from September.
Responsibilities include:
* Teaching Computer Science across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
* Providing clear strategic leadership for the subject area.
* Planning the curriculum, designing assessments, and monitoring student progress.
* Ensuring consistently high‑quality teaching and learning across the department.
* Supporting and mentoring staff, developing and refining schemes of work.
* Driving continued improvement in key areas such as programming, algorithms, data representation, computer systems, and computational thinking.
