About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join our dynamic Design & Technology department from September 2025. This is a full-time position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will have a strong subject knowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning in Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will inspire students to develop their practical skills and understanding of nutrition, food preparation, and healthy lifestyles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Food Technology
* Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback
* Contribute to the development of the DT curriculum
* Create a safe and stimulating learning environment in line with health and safety guidelines
* Participate in school events and wider extra-curricular activities
What We’re Looking For:
* A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
* Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* A creative and innovative approach to teaching

To be considered for the role of Food Technology Teacher you will:
* Experience of teaching food technology in a UK School
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
* PGCE in food technology
