Investment Director / Investment Manager - Logistics, Northern Europe
We are working with a well-established Pan-European real estate private equity investment firm, headquartered in London with additional European offices, to hire an Investment Director / Investment Manager for their Investment team.
Overview
Based in London, the role will focus on expanding the firm’s existing portfolio in Europe with a primary focus on Northern Europe, specifically within the logistics sector. As a senior member of the real estate investment team, you will be responsible for driving the investment process from sourcing to execution while collaborating with asset management.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with senior management to execute the strategy for Northern Europe; including sourcing and evaluation of investment opportunities, underwriting, committee material preparation and the execution of transactions while working closely with the asset management team.
* Leverage existing, and develop new trusted relationships with owner/operators, developers, investors, brokers, lenders/bankers, and other marketing sources to generate ongoing lists of qualified investment opportunities.
* Contribute to analysis that informs the firm’s investment decisions.
* Oversee and drive a thorough, detail-oriented due diligence process protecting the firm’s risk profile throughout the transaction.
* Manage small deal teams to process and execute transactions while developing junior talent.
* Prepare market research updates, sector analysis and benchmarking studies.
* Manage and monitor existing investments.
Qualifications
* MBA or similar university degree.
* Minimum 7+ years of relevant Pan-European Logistics real estate investment experience either from a real estate private equity fund or an operating partner.
* Ideally an established network and presence within Northern Europe.
* Proven investment track record of sourcing, structuring and closing transactions.
* Self-starter who can take a deal from initial analysis to due diligence.
* Excellent due diligence, analytical, transaction structuring and financial skills.
* Disciplined and rigorous underwriting and investment management.
* Ability to understand investment risks and methods to mitigate them in structuring investments.
* Astute commercial sense, strong analytical skills and superior critical thinking.
* Effective communication, persuasiveness, and presentation skills.
* Comfortable working in a highly entrepreneurial environment.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong presentation and process management skills.
* Strong energy, drive and attention to detail.
* Fluency in one or more European languages (ideally Nordic) in addition to English is preferred.
