QEIILive
Part of the Operations Department, QEIILive delivers AV services crucial to our success, working closely with event managers to provide first-class technology solutions.
Job Purpose
To perform duties assigned by the Discipline Head or Senior AV & IT Logistics Manager, working as part of a professional team to provide technical presentation services at the Centre and other venues.
Key Tasks
1. Rigging and de-rigging audio, lighting, AV, video/data, sets, and display equipment following health and safety regulations.
2. Operating AV technical equipment during events.
3. Maintaining a tidy and efficient work environment under supervision.
4. Acting as a Client Liaison Technician, bridging communication between clients and project management.
5. Assisting with facilities development and equipment inventory management.
6. Participating in internal and external technical training.
7. Contributing to operational improvements within the department.
8. Deploying equipment responsibly, with prior approval if billed to a client.
9. Making basic decisions based on procedures, with more complex decisions in consultation with senior staff.
10. Performing additional duties as assigned by senior management, including weekend work.
11. Supporting Event ICT tasks, such as network setup, troubleshooting, and device configuration.
Additional Information
Required: Technical knowledge of AV equipment, especially stage lighting, and experience in conference, theatre, or TV environments.
Note: Other duties may be assigned beyond those listed.
Person Specification
Experience with corporate AV equipment, proactive team collaboration, excellent communication, punctuality, and presentation skills. Ability to assess risks and make decisions under pressure.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
Qualification in AV or equivalent experience, IOSH or similar health and safety training, rigging and slinging training preferred.
